The Vero river park was declared in 1998, according to the Spanish regulation. It was the goal of it to protect the cultural heritage in their local villages and to develop the economy of all the villages in it.

This cultural space, full of historical meaning, is located in the heart of the Vero river, between the Pyrenees and the Somontano’s region, close to Barbastro. In the north of the park there is the Natural Park of the Mountain range of Guara, with a total of nine villages: Bárcabo, Adahuesca, Alquézar, Colungo, Santa María de Dulcis, Pozán de Vero, Azara, Castillazuelo and Barbastro.

In Colungo is also possible to enter the fascinating world of prehistory, visit the Interpretation Center of Rock Art.
