From Casa Trallero we can make interesting sights, both cultural and natural. We can discover the The Sierra de Guara Mountains and Canyons Natural Park, or the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. We can also visit medieval villages like Aínsa or Alquézar or enjoy the route of the Wineries The Somontano Designation of Origin, and many other places.
Almazorre is 28 Km. away from Aínsa and 32 from Alquezar, inside the Sierra de Guara Mountains and Canyons Natural Park and of the Cultural Park of the river Vero, in the road that goes from Alquezar to Aínsa and Boltaña through Arcusa.
The Sierra de Guara Mountains and Canyons Natural Park occupies the External Mountains of the Pyrenees of Aragón, between the rivers Flumen and Vero. This beautiful landscape full of ravines and narrow gorges harbours important plant and animal resources of great value. The Cultural Park of the river Vero: created around the important paintings of the river Vero caves. You can also visit the visitor centre of Colungo. Other visitor centres are in Bierge and Adahuesca.
Alquézar is located at the end of the Vero river canyon, with impressive landscapes and several alternatives for nature-lovers and adventure sports fans. The village was declared “conjunto histórico artístico”, and so it offers us the possibility of going back into medieval times. Once you cross the gothic door and enter the village, you will walk its old streets, filled with traditional houses and buildings. When you get to the Old Square you will be able to admire of the best-kept spots of the traditional architecture of the region.
If you get to the top of the hill you will find the Castle, founded by the Muslims, and the one that gives its name to the village: Al-Qasr. As time went by, the religious community of the city grew and so another temple was built by the Castle. Nowadays, we would only find the gothic cloister and the atrium of the original building.
The Cultural Park of Río Vero was declared in 1998, according to the Spanish regulation. It was the goal of it to protect the cultural heritage in their local villages and to develop the economy of all the villages in it.
This cultural space, full of historical meaning, is located in the heart of the Vero river, between the Pyrenees and the Somontano’s region, close to Barbastro. In the north of the park there is the Natural Park of the Mountain range of Guara, with a total of nine villages: Bárcabo, Adahuesca, Alquézar, Colungo, Santa María de Dulcis, Pozán de Vero, Azara, Castillazuelo and Barbastro. In Colungo is also possible to enter the fascinating world of prehistory, visit the Interpretation Center of Rock Art.
Horsing, fishing, speleology, bungee-jumping, climbing or canyon-descent are specially amazing in a beautiful environment like this. Canyon-descent is specially interesting in wild spaces like the Mountain range of Guara. Moreover, close to Alquézar o Rodellar, there are many climbing routes for climbers.
Grand Route paths or easier ones, they have all been thought as a way to enjoy nature with the family. They can also be done by mountain bike, horsing or ultra light aircraft. They are all wonderful alternatives to see and enjoy the Somontano region.
